On January 25th, Pittsburgh community members attended the RECI Film Premiere, featuring a screening of ‘Illuminating the Vaccine for Racism,” an engaging panel discussion and reflection gallery featuring art by Morgan Overton.
“Illuminating the Vaccine for Racism” highlights the groundbreaking Racial Equity Consciousness Institute, founded by Ron Idoko, here at the University of Pittsburgh, including reflections from the faculty, staff and students who have participated in RECI. This film not only sheds light on the complexities of systemic racism, but also highlights the strengths within community and open dialogue.
